ROSWELL, NM - Michelkin, LLC, is proud to launch a newly designed company website. The improved user experience is intended to improve communication with customers, authors, business contacts, and employees.
New functionality has been added to the new site, including easier-to-use menu navigation, video headers, social media feeds, and more. In the coming weeks, Michelkin's publishing division plans to launch an author portal which will provide a method for authors to view sales rates of their books as well as royalty reports, press kits, and social media posts. The portal will also create an easier on-boarding process for new authors to submit required documentation including tax information and website information. Michelkin's design division is also proud to announce that it will now sell a limited number of products directly from the company's website. While Michelkin Designs will still operate its popular Etsy store, providing direct access to the most in-demand products will allow the company to have direct access to the customer experience as well as allowing for special discounts for loyalty followers on social media or special sales groups. Efficiency was the motivator behind the new website's design, said Rutherford Rankin, managing member of Michelkin, LLC, and the company's acquisitions editor and president of the publishing division. "Our old site was not only outdated, it was difficult to work with and took a lot of time to update," Rankin said. "For example, it used to take us about fifteen minutes to design and publish a webpage about a new book and its author. With the new site, it will take about five minutes." Aside from the new design, Michelkin has also transferred domain registration and web hosting to a new company to increase loading time and reliability. ROSWELL, NM - Michelkin Publishing is proud to announce three new books set for release during the summer of 2017. Adventures Through the Trees, a children's book written and illustrated by Kay Gehring, follows main character Shiloh as he becomes friends with the trees in his back yard. One afternoon, a group of mean, infected elm trees band together to trick Shiloh's sister and trap her in one of their trunks. He must work with the trees to find his sister before dark. The book will be released May 26. The Ruined Man, a paranormal fiction tale based in Albuquerque, will be released on June 23. The book follows detectives Barber and Wolf as they stumble on a case that has the potential to change not only them, but the world as they know it. As they work to reverse the actions of a paranormal group calling themselves the Purple Gates Group, Detective Wolf receives more than he expects when he attempts to stop one of the group's rituals. Can he ever recover, or will he carry the scars of the event for the rest of his life? Finally, Irreparable, a psychological thriller, will be released in late July. The book, co-authored by new author Jennifer Tucker and writing partner Rutherford Rankin, blurs the lines between reality and dreams as main character Kat Morgan tries to find an escape from the nightmares and PTSD she's suffered nearly all her life. When Kat moves across the country in hopes for a new start, she quickly realizes her nightmares have only begun. The announcement of the new releases comes as Michelkin Publishing and its parent company, Michelkin, LLC, celebrate their one year anniversary since foundry in May 2016. Michelkin, LLC, is located in Roswell, New Mexico, and publishes books of all genres as well as creating and selling planner and journal accessories.
